Observational drawing Class with Illeyah Draunidalo - Iconic Landmarks of Suva


This short course will cover the techniques of constructing a one point perspective drawing in creating an illusion of space and depth on a flat surface.

Students will have the opportunity to apply their understanding of constructing a one point perspective drawing based on an iconic landmark (Suva) of their choice while also learning about its surrounding context, culture, and design elements in a stimulating environment with like-minded individuals.

The classes are a build up towards an art exhibition centered around the theme of Iconic Landmarks of Suva and scheduled for Monday 6 November. Our sessions begin on Monday 16 October to Tuesday 31 October with a class time duration of 1 hour (430pm-530pm).

The Iconic Landmarks of Suva Exhibition will be launched at Alliance Française of Suva and will be opened to the public for viewing.

Register with Fifita (reception@af-fiji.org / 331 38 02) – first arrived, first served. Very limited number of participants. Class fee : 150 $. 50% deposit required before Friday 13th October.

This fee includes all the needed equipment.

Illeyah studied at New Zealand's Otago Polytechnic School of Design, and has worked with Na Hina Limited (newly renovated Bau Apartments and Cakobau Apartments), Octa Associates Limited (redevelopment of the Toitu Otago Settlers Museum) and Architecture Van Brandenburg (Marisfrolg Headquarters in China).

Course 7 : Exhibition : Iconic Landmarks of Suva

I C O N I C   L A N D M A R K S   O F   S U V A   E X H I B I T I O N  (8 PM – 10 PM)

Presented by the Alliance Française of Suva, the exhibition will be opened to the general public for two days.

It is a free event and students are encouraged to invite their friends and family to view the exhibition. 

French wine and food will be served in the duration of the launching of the Iconic Landmarks of Suva Exhibition.
