French Storytelling for kids celebrates Epiphany

Wednesday 25th January. 5.00 pm. Free entrance. Followed by a workshop and a snack.

This first French Storytelling for kids with Mélanie will lead us to the celebration of the famous Galette des Rois (Epiphany or King cake) tradition.

Every year on Epiphany Sunday, French families and friends gather around this cake, made with frangipane or brioche according to the regions, in order to find the hidden charm and become the King or the Queen. This tradition is celebrated in France from the 13th Century, and the charm, firstly a broad been or a seed, is made in porcelain from the 17th Century.
