Média Center and Litterature

Different events are organized alongside our library. All these events are free.

  • Each first Friday of the month, the Café Littéraire is dedicated to Francophone literature (novels, comics, press), with each time a different genre or theme. This event is in French and takes place around a cup of tea or coffee with the traditional croissants. To feed brain and body. Time : 1 hour, 11.30am-12.30pm.
  • Each second Wednesday of the month, the French Storytelling, with our storyteller Mélanie, brings tales and poetry to kids. It is followed by a light snack (a French pastry or cake) and a craft workshop. Time : 1 hour, 5pm-6pm.
  • Once every two months, a local storytelling, in Hindi or Fijian languages (with English translation) is organized with local storytellers, in a country like Fiji in which oral tradition is important and widespread. Craft workshop is also part of this activity. Time is not regular and depends on actuality.
  • Every month, Urban Pacific Legend, organized by Peter Sipeli and local poets, writers and musicians, takes place at the Alliance Française de Suva. A way to share and experience the wealth and the dynamism of the Fijian culture. Time : 1.30 hour, 6pm-7.30pm.
